Information we may collect from you

We may collect the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our website. This includes your name, address and contact details and such other information you provide when ordering goods from our site. We may also ask you for information when you respond to promotions and/or when you report a problem with our site.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our site and of the fulfilment of your orders.

Uses made of the information

Our Supplier will process that information and will also pass on your name, address and contact details to the haulier who they use to deliver to you the goods that you have ordered from us. Both Our Supplier and their nominated haulier will only use your information for the purposes of processing and delivering the order that you have made with us.

We may also use information held about you in the following ways:

  • To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you.
  • To notify you about changes to our service.

We may contact you by email, post or by telephone. For the purposes of processing and delivering your order from our site, Our Supplier and their nominated haulier may contact you by email or by telephone.

We do not store or retain any financial information (such as credit card details) about you. When you submit such financial information to our site, that information is encrypted, and the encrypted data is sent to a third party payment processor using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

We may retain your information (but not any financial information) if you have opted to register an account with us so that we can recognise and recover your account details when you order goods from our site in future. However, you do not need to register an account and you can order goods from our site without registering an account with us. Where you have registered an account and we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access your account, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

We may also use your data to provide you with information about goods and services that we provide which are similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you. For these purposes, we will only contact you by electronic means (e-mail or SMS).

We do not share your information with third parties other than those specifically referred to in this privacy policy.

IP addresses and cookies

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:

  • To estimate our audience size and usage pattern.
  • To store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customise our site according to your individual interests.

Access to information

The Data Protection Act 1998 (the “Act”) gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.
